“My interest in construction and engineering began when I was a young child when my grandfather gifted me his old Erector Set. Through the many hours of designing and building structural and mechanical devices with the metal rails, shafts, gears, and electric motor, I developed my love of discovering how things work. This coupled with my interest in swinging a hammer to build tree forts, furniture, and eventually residential houses, set the ground work for my eventual career in engineering.
What I love about structural engineering, is a unique opportunity to take conceptual and visual ideas, and turn them into real life structures that everyday people get to occupy, interact with, and utilize. I enjoy the ability to work directly and collaboratively with clients to create structural solutions to their unique architectural and construction needs.”
Corey has experience in the design and investigation of a variety of commercial and residential structures including high rise, healthcare, sports and entertainment, institutional, multi-family, and educational facilities. Having worked on some of the largest and iconic commercial structural design projects in the country, which include a Texas Advanced Technology Fabrication Facility, the Oklahoma State Capital Renovation, the OU Medical Center Hospital Expansion, and high-rise residential structures in the Denver metro, Corey has the experience to tackle your unique structural engineering challenges. He is a published author in several engineering journals and magazines on advanced structural engineering topics and is a committee member for the Colorado Structural Engineers Association’s SEER group.
In his free time, Corey loves to pursue his passions for woodworking, traveling the world, spending time with friends and family, and watching his favorite NBA team the Denver Nuggets.
